  • Two large wire nuts
  • You will require the below tools for the work:
  • Wire strippers
  • Wirecutter
  • Pliers
  • Ladder
  • Electric drill
  • 3/8-inch drill bit

Here is the step by step guide that you need to follow

The first thing you need to do is prepare the mason jars. You will need to turn all the mason jars into light fixtures. For this, you will need to drill a 3/8-inch hole in the middle of the lid of the mason jars. Then you will need to push the threaded lamp loop in the holes and fix them using the lamp nuts at the bottom of every loop. Then screw the candelabra socket in the thread of each lamp nut.

Step 2:

Now you will need to cut the lamp wire in different sizes. The size will be 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 51, 54, 60, 63, 66, and 69 inches. Then you will need to strip the wire sheathing 3/8-inch at one side and ¾-inch from the other side.

Now connect the wires 3/8-inch in the front of each lamp. After that, connect the terminal of the candelabra socket with the wire’s positive side. Then screw the E12 bulb in each socket and then screw the lids into the jar.

Step 3:

In this step, we will connect the jar with the wheel using the lamp chain. Now drill a hole which will be in 1/8-inch size in the bottom of the wheel which will be close to the spoke.  Now cut the lamp chain in to the given lengths: 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, and 39 inches.

Step 4:

Now open both ends of every lamp chain using the pliers. Then connect one end with the eye hooks that you fixed in the wagon wheels. In the opposite end, connect the jar with the wire that arrives from the chain segment of the wagon wheel. Do this for all mason jar following the same size of the wires and chain. Now thread all the wires for every link of the chain.

Step 5:

In this step, we will connect the wheel with the ceiling. Choose the place where you want to place the wheel. It will look better in the middle of the room. At first, you will need to install a bracket depending on the lamp canopy kit you have chosen. Do this following the instructions provided with the product.

Step 6:

Now using the drill machine, create a 1/8-inch hole in the wheel’s bottom close to the each spoke. Then fix the screw eye in every hole. Now prepare 12-piece decorative lamp chain segments which will be 24 inches in size. Then open the ends of the segments using the pry tool and then attach them with the screw eyes. The other end will be connected with the hook of the canopy.

Step 7:

Now thread the opposite end of the wire making its way from 24-inch chain to the lamp canopy. Now connect all the positive wires of the lamps together and then connect them with the positive terminal of the junction. Do the same for the negative wires. Then connect the lamp canopy with the bracket according to the user manual of the canopy.

You are done. Turn on the switch to check whether it works or not. Hopefully, the above guide will be helpful for you.
